Paul + Alexys Engagement

I am a sucker for good love stories, especially ones that involve two people who fall in love in different countries. Alexys and Paul met in a tiny, tiny bar called Blue Goose in Onida, South Dakota. Who thinks when they walk into a small town bar, that they're going to meet the love of their life? Right?! At the time Alexys was a native Arizonian, living in Colorado and Paul was from South Africa, working in South Dakota. Something happened in that bar and fast forward 2.5 years they are engaged and getting married this summer! I knew Alexys from college, and competed with her on the CSU Ranch Horse Team. I distinctly remember the day she told me she thought she was going to marry Paul like it was yesterday. We were having one last ranch horse practice at our coach Corky's house before leaving for nationals, we were sitting on our horses in the outdoor arena and she was just beaming while she talked about him! It was such an honor to take a few photos for their save the dates, and always good to catch up with old friends.
